About Me

I am Gillian Scott, an amateur photographer from East Kilbride. I took up road running in 2004. After completing my first 5K, I joined a local ladies running group in East Kilbride, coached by Benny Rooney. Targets of sub-50 10K and sub-2 hour half marathon were reached by May 2006. Knee troubles were interfering with training, resulting in knee surgery for torn meniscus in October 2006.

Unfortunately, a return to running proved difficult. I got involved as a volunteer with Glasgow parkrun in December 2008, becoming a core team member and race director soon after. I stepped down from parkrun duties early 2011, and took up sports photography after buying my first digital SLR camera.

Spurred on by my one and only racing photo in 2 years of running, my aim is to provide quality racing photos of road running competitors at a reasonable price.
